F1, Gp Las Vegas: Lewis Hamilton’s dig at Max Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton, swipe at Max Verstappen after Las Vegas GP
Despite finishing seventh, Lewis Hamilton è appeared smiling on the sidelines of the Formula 1 Grand Prix run in Las Vegas. His race, initially conditioned by a contact with Carlos Sainz at the first corner, è then continued with a fine comeback that brought him from the bottom of the standings to finish ahead of teammate George Russell.
In the mixed zone, the British driver also è indulged in a dig at Max Verstappen, who had harshly criticized the events surrounding the Gp in the 'Sin City': "The track offers great overtaking opportunities,” he said, “I think all those who had spoken in negative terms about the Las Vegas Gp, saying it was all show and no sport, were wrong. The race proved it".
The reference è quite explicit: Max Verstappen, at 'The Race' portal, had called the Las Vegas choice "99% show, 1% sporting aspect". The Dutchman went on to win the race, finishing ahead of Charles Leclerc and taking victory number eighteen in twenty races held.
