F1, Ferrari: major new opportunity for Robert Shwartzman
Robert Shwarzman on Ferrari in free practice and post-season testing
For the fourth consecutive year, Ferrari will entrust one of the cars that will take to the track in the post-season tests dedicated to young people to Robert Shwartzman: the Russian-born driver, who races with an Israeli license thanks to his dual passport, will thus be among the participants in the event that will take place two days before the Abu Dhabi Gp, which will close the 2023 season.
Making the announcement of the choice of Shwartzman è was the Maranello team itself, through its social channels, with a short video. Shwartzman had already driven the Rossa, this year, in Zandvoort, driving in place of Carlos Sainz in the first free practice session, and he will also dispute free practice in the Emirate, this time in place of Charles Leclerc.
As for the post-season tests, the Academy-raised driver has now disputed them on a regular basis since 2020. In this 2023 Shwartzman participated in the GTWC Europe, winning in the Endurance Cup the Barcelona leg at the wheel of the 296 GT3 of the AF Corse team, a success shared with Nicklas Nielsen and Alessio Rovera.
