Robert Kubica will be an AF Corse driver in the 2024 season. The team racing partner of Ferrari in the hypercar program announces this, adding that more information will be released in the coming weeks regarding the pairing between AF Corse and the 38-year-old Pole, current 2023 champion in the LMP2 category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

"A great honor to welcome into our family a driver of Robert’s caliber,” said Amato Ferrari. “His talent and great professionalism will bring a new added value to our team". " I am happy that my path and that of AF Corse will be the same in the coming season,” added Kubica, “AF è one of the most successful teams ever in motorsport: I am sure we will do a great job together. Plus, I’m going back to be part of an Italian team, another aspect that is not secondary".

Born in Krakow on December 7, 1984, Kubica gained experience in single-seaters, rally cars and prototypes in endurance racing. After winning the Formula Renault 3.5 Series (2005), in Formula 1 the Pole between 2006 and 2010 and between 2018 and 2022 collected 99 starts, one win (at the Canadian GP in 2008) and 12 podiums.

In the World Rally WRC between 2013 and 2016, he participated in 33 races, winning 14 special stages and becoming champion in the WRC-2 class (2013). For the past three seasons, the driver has competed in endurance racing at the wheel of LMP2 prototypes: in the FIA WEC, he has recorded 15 starts, winning the already-mentioned class rainbow title (2023), and achieving two second places in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2022-23); in parallel, he signed the continental title in the European Le Mans Series (2021).
