Nervousness in Ducati, Tardozzi attacks Jorge Martin
Tension in Ducati after the second free practice of the Valencia Grand Prix, the last round of the MotoGp season. During the time-attack for direct qualification in Q2, Jorge Martin put pressure on Pecco Bagnaia by putting himself in his wake.
The strategy worked: the Spaniard è placed second and directly in Q2, while Bagnaia will have toà go through Q1.
Official team manager Davide Tardozzi criticized the behavior of the Pramac team rider: "Martin’s behavior stands to ridicule as Marc Marquez does certain times. It is there, è possible to do it and è right. He wants to load up to win the two races. Heè ll make it, too, maybe, but we have to make the points we need and not think about anything else. Certain things I have always criticized them and I do it again today, becauseè for a certain level of the championship they are not consonant and edifying for a pilot".
However, Tardozzi does not believe that Martin’s move affected Bagnaia: "a marking of the Spaniard certainly did not affect the performance of “Pecco”. Starà to us to give him a hand, preparing the bike better. He è not happy already since this morning, so è a little more our fault than Bagnaia’s fault. We have to do everything we can to help him be what he è that is, as fast as ever. We have not yet found what we need to have the confidence on the ’front. Tonight we will analyze the data and tomorrow morning we will work to find the right direction", he told Sky.
"We thought we were further ahead, but Martin’s marking had nothing to do with it".
