MotoGP, Pecco Bagnaia world champion if: the combinations

After Jorge Martin’s victory in the Sprint Race of the Valencia Grand Prix, Pecco Bagnaia’s lead over the Spaniard in the overall standings has è been reduced to 14 points.

It will be; Sunday’s race, scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Ricardo Tormo circuit, that will determine the new MotoGP 2023 world champion.

Pecco Bagnaia only needs to finish fifth in the final GP of the season to be confirmed world champion, regardless of Martin’s result. In case of a tied finish, in fact, what counts è the highest number of Grand Prix won (Pecco è ahead 6-4 on Jorge).

In case Bagnaia fails to finish in the top five, there are other combinations to become world champion:

– Bagnaia from tenth place up with Martin 2°

– Bagnaia from 14th place up with Martin 3°

– Bagnaia canò not score points and è still champion, with Martin off the podium.
