Sofia Goggia happy, Federica Brignone much less so
The words of Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone
.
The words at the end of the race of Federica Brignone, sixth in the Killington women’s giant slalom, are not the most enthusiastic.
“I had a bit of a hard time adapting to this kind of snow, in the first run I went down a bit’ with the handbrake, then I tried to give myself a shake, but I couldn’ t quite master what I was doing. At the wall entry I even got stuck and even underneath I got crushed, I don’t even know how I got across the finish line. I’m not at all satisfied with the way I skied, let’s have this placement”.
Moreù satisfied Sofia Goggia, ninth: “I am happy becauseè it has been a long time since I arrived soì in front in the giant slalom ranking, I am even more happy with the’attitude with which I approach the races, becauseè I feel moreù mastered the technical gesture in this discipline, I no longer have the strange fears of the past seasons, when I arrived at the gate and felt disoriented. I am happy becauseè I become thirty-fifth in the start list, but missing five athletes already present in the thirty, I enter the second group and from next week in the two Mont Tremblant giants, I will be ableò to start close to the fifteen due to the fact that I have more than 500 points in the overall”.
