Bologna from Europe: knocked out Torino
Bologna-Torino 2-0
The thirteenth day of Serie A closes with the home success of Bologna, which overcame Torino 2-0 thanks to goals by Fabbian and Zirkzee in the second half.
The hosts started off strong right away and went close to the lead with Fabbian who kicked just wide from outside. The guests’ response is not long in coming: on 17’ Vlasic finds the lead with a great left-footed shot from the limit but the Var cancels everything for active offside by Sanabria. Seven minutes later Zapata engages Skorupski with a nice right-footed shot from 20 meters.
In the second half, the Rossoblù found the lead in 56': Gemello missed the exit on Fabbian, who won a rebound, and deposited in the net with an unguarded goal. Juric tried to shake up the Granata with the entry of Pellegri, Vojvoda and Karamoh but did not achieve the desired effects. In the final, the Felsinians closed the score with Zirkzee, who sprinted on a Lykogiannis throw, skipped past Vojvoda and beat Gemello.
With this victory, Bologna climbs to fifth place in the standings, tied with Roma, on 21 points, -3 from the Champions zone. Torino, on the other hand, remains stuck at 16, in 12th place.
