Inter, ready a double renewal for Simone Inzaghi

After the comeback draw against Benfica in the Champions League, Inter è already working to prepare the league challenge against Walter Mazzarri’s Napoli, which will try to redeem the defeat suffered at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid (4-2). Off the field, however, the Nerazzurri management è working to settle the issue of renewals of those players considered central to Simone Inzaghi’s technical project.

According to reports from "Sky Sport", the Milanese club, by the end of 2023, should put the signatures of Mkhitaryan and Dimarco on paper. A one-year extension until 2025 would be ready for the Armenian midfielder, while the blue side is expected to tie up with the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2027. Having found an agreement with the two players, the priority for Marotta and Ausilio will shift to Denzel Dumfries, with whom contacts would already be at an advanced stage to define also his contract renewal. 

Once this triptych of operations is completed, Inter will set to work to armor Nicolò Barella and Lautaro Martínez, two of the most important elements of the roster at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal. Although both players have still long contracts, the priority for Marotta and Ausilio will be to find an agreement during the second half of the season, so as to find the final white smoke before the start of the summer soccer market session.
