Jannik Sinner’s 2024 season kicks off with the Kooyong Classic, a pre-Australian Open exhibition tournament to be held in Melbourne. The world number four player will take the court Jan. 10-12, accompanied by other champions such as Dominic Thiem, Frances Tiafoe, Holger Rune, Karen Kachanov and Stan Wawrinka. This year, Sinner will decide not to participate in the Adelaide tournament, where he appeared last year and was eliminated in the quarterfinals by tennis player Sebastian Korda. Instead, Sinner will focus directly on the'Australian Open.

After the Australian interlude, the world number four tennis player will focus on climbing the ATP rankings to reach the much coveted top 3 and set new records in Italy. The Marseille tournament, an Atp 250, will be the first engagement after the Montpellier experience, where the player will have to defend the title he won last year.

Next will be the Atp 500 in Rotterdam, where the tennis player è reached the final losing to Medvedev. Finally, the two important tournaments on American cement: Indian Wells and Miami, where Jannik è reached the semifinals and final, respectively, against Medvedev himself, after a series of six consecutive losses.

The schedule è fairly classic for a top player like him, but he will probably skip the Adelaide tournament to avoid the risk of injury as happened with Korda. In fact, thereò negatively affected his performance during the last Australian Open, where he struggled mightily to make it to the round of 16 lost to Tsitsipas, a future finalist in the tournament.
