Great boxing returns to Milan
Great boxing in Milan
On Friday, Dec. 15, Great Boxing returns to Milan with an extraordinary show in the city’s most important indoor arena, the Allianz Cloud (former Palalido). Right there, in 2008, Giacobbe Fragomeni became WBC world champion, consecrating himself as one of the sports legends of the cityà. Fifteen years later, Giacobbe will return to Stuparich Square in the dual role of organizer and coach of his young talents: the Fight Club Fragomeni, infact, has formed an alliance with the ambitious promotion TAF (The Art of Fighting) and is preparing for action.
“It’s going to be an unforgettable event,” Fragomeni stressed, “thanks to the quality of the fighters and the active participation of big names from the world of music and entertainment: America’s here”. Microphone star Guè will perform in the ring during the evening, making his contribution to the realization of an unmissable and completely unprecedented show in the Italian scene.
Edoardo Germani, founder of TAF, makes the objectives clear: “After the great success of our first three events, with 4,000 spectators at the Monza Arena for Alessio Lorusso’s European event last May, I decided to raise the level even further to give even more visibility to our athletes and convey the values of boxing to the general public. Once again, moreover, we will be live on DAZN”.
Many protagonists on the square, starting with Milanese darling Christian Mazzon who, after winning the Italian superwelterweight title in one of the most exciting fights in recent years, will play for his first international belt (WBC Mediterranean) against the tough Roman Khalil El Harraz.
“Fighting the main-event in the’main arena of my cityà è a dream come true,” Mazzon explains. “This is a great honor and, at the same time, a great responsibility. I have worked so hard to get to this level and I will not allow El Harraz to spoil my party. I recognize his value and respect him, but I am ready for anything to win!”.
In addition to Mazzon, the statuesque Nigerian twins Samuel and Joshua Nmomah will take the ring, facing rispeƫvely John Rosseƫ and Dario Morello, one of the most
popular boxers ever thanks to his strong
social presence. Great anticipation also for the derby between the very young Francesco Paparo and Andrea Sito and for the return of heavyweights Jonathan Kogasso and Alessio “Ciccio” Spahiu.
