Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries stop

Despite the 3-0 final score and the general enthusiasm inside the locker room, the Maradona match against Napoli left Inter with two rather important injuries, those of Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries: in fact, the two Dutch players both suffered a muscle strain, and at least for a few days they will have to stay in the pits.

"Stefan De Vrij and Denzel Dumfries – we read on the official channels of the Nerazzurri club – underwent clinical evaluation and instrumental examinations this morning, at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano, after their injuries on Sunday night in the match against Napoli. Muscle soreness in the adductors of the left thigh for the Dutch defender. Muscle soreness in the flexors of the left thigh for the Dutch outfielder".

"The two Nerazzurri players will be reevaluated in the coming week" specifies the note, which therefore does not give a precise timetable for the return of the two players, who will in any case definitely miss the match scheduled for Saturday evening, with kickoff at 8:45 p.m., against Udinese at San Siro.

Inter currently leads the league with 35 points, two more than Juventus and a full six more than Milan, currently third. In the Champions League it has already passed the group stage and will play for first place with Real Sociedad next week. So far, the Nerazzurri have lost only one game, that of Sept. 27 in the league against Sassuolo.
