Ivan Zaytsev spurs Cucine Lube Civitanova

After Sunday’s loss at home against Trento, Cucine Lube Civitanova is relying on its veterans, including Ivan Zaytsev, to regroup and get back on track in the league as early as Friday against Cisterna. The 35-year-old opposite player spurred his teammates in this regard, speaking to the official channels of the Marche club.

"There are three days to go until the end of the Regular Season round of play and Lube is rummaging in the heap between fourth and fifth place,” he said, taking stock of the situation. We will have to be especially focused to face the next matches becauseé è it is important to arrive at the halfway mark in the best possible position".

"The Italian Cup grid will be tied to the standings and the trophy with the tricolor rosette è an important goal for the companyé and the owneré – he added -. Obviously, we want to redeem ourselves after the ugly defeat cashed with Trento at home. A tough obstacle is approaching, the trip to Cisterna".

"Last year’s trip to the Pontine land è went badly,” Zaytsev recalled, “and this reminds us that we must never take challenges under consideration, much less let ourselves be conditioned by the ranking. Aware of these aspects we are going there to achieve a favorable result. Upcoming league commitments will be alternated with Champions League competitions, the top European club competition, an exciting tournament".

"The travels may be uncomfortable and with demanding rigmarole, but we are all charged up in’taking on such exhilarating challenges. As other clubs travel so do we, we just need to be able to adapt and never lose focus on the field" then concluded the Russian-born Spoleto athlete.
