Here are the statements, taken from the official FISI website, of Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone and Elena Curtoni at the end of the last downhill time trial and on the eve of the first of the two women’s World Cup superGs in St. Moritz.

Marta Bassino: “I am happy to participate in these races, the slope è beautiful and fun, here last year I went out but I was going strong. I feel more comfortable on skis than I did at the beginning of the season, I think I have regained continuity and confidence”.

Federica Brignone: “There ’è was no time to celebrate, actually today è the day I feel most tired. The trip back from Canada è was very tough, I spent a few hours at home and got back in the car, I hope to turn around from Friday. È a positive period, the double in Mont Tremblant è among the best memories of the career. Both for the results and for the experiences I had, I feel lucky and proud, è that is why I am skiing more free than last year. In the first training I held good lines in the middle part and missed underneath, today I did everything pretty well but without being incisive”.

Elena Curtoni: “&It is always nice to come back here, I am close to home and I feel a’special air. It was two not so good tests, for’I know where I have to file and do better. From Friday it gets serious, I arrive here without confirmation because in the first part of the season I competed really little. I frankly don’t know my real condition, from Ushuaia I had restarted without too much feeling, only in training in Cervinia I found again a little bit; the right senzasioni in superG”.
