Serie A 2023-2024: Juventus-Napoli, the likely lineups
Juventus-Napoli, probable formations
Friday night in Turin sees Juventus and Napoli face off in the 15th day of Serie A. A demanding challenge that could almost mark the end of the title race for the Italian champions should they suffer a defeat finding themselves twelve points behind the Bianconeri.
After the disappointing home defeat against Inter, the Azzurri are obliged to win to stay in the race. Allegri’s team also needs the three points in order not to give ground to the Nerazzurri again and retain the top spot in the standings. Rabiot and his teammates continue their positive streak of nine games without defeat and have yet to lose at home this season. Napoli, on the other hand, ranks second for the most points earned outside the Maradona, with five wins and two draws without conceding a defeat.
Allegri fields Danilo and Locatelli from the first minute, with Weah still out due to injury. The coach has no doubts, banking on Bremer and Gatti in defense, McKennie and Rabiot on either side of the former Milan man with Cambiaso and Kostic on the flanks. Chiesa and Vlahovic will take the field in attack. Mazzarri, on the other hand, reintroduces Juan Jesus in the center of defense alongside Rrahamani with Di Lorenzo and Natan in the lane. In the midfield, Zielinski returns as a starter along with Lobotka and Anguissa. Up front, the trident will be composed of Politano, Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia.
