Jannik Sinner has already resumed training

For Jannik Sinner, vacation, if you can call it that, is already over. The world number 4 has è given himself just a few days off after his Davis Cup triumph and, as had already been planned, has resumed training in Alicante, Spain.

Jannik posted a video on social in which he can be seen dribbling in the sunshine of the city located in the Comunitatà Valenciana, in an ideal climate to prepare for the upcoming Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament of 2024, which will kick off on January 14.

With the 22-year-old from Alto Adige are his coaches Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill, athletic trainer Umberto Ferrara, and physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi. In short, Sinner is already hard at work as many of his colleagues post photos from vacation spots.

Along with Jannik and his team is Luca Nardi, a 20-year-old native of Pesaro who is world No. 115 and is the new up-and-comer in Italian men’s tennis, yet another after decades of frightening slump, with whom Sinner also trains often because of the different characteristics than his own.

The Italian will begin his competitive 2024 at the Kooyong Classic, an exhibition tournament also played in Melbourne like the Australian OPen, which he will play Jan. 10-12 along with Karen Khachanov, Holger Rune, Dominic Thiem, Frances Tiafoe and Stan Wawrinka.
