Dream Cagliari: two goals after the 90th minute and 2-1 to Sassuolo
An incredible victory, which canò have a huge weight in the salvation race.
Cagliari victorious over Sassuolo, with a 2-1 that will be consigned to the annals. In fact, Claudio Ranieri’s Rossoblù managed to regain the advantage of the guests in the dying minutes, scoring both goals (two feats) with 90' largely elapsed. This brings them to 13 points, one above the relegation zone. And the Emilians now find themselves only two lengths away, far from safe in the race for salvation.
Sassuolo’s start è mighty, so much so that in just over five minutes came three colossal chances for the neroverdi. The fourth è the right one: è the 7' minute, and on a corner by Laurentié è Erlic's framing was the winner. Cagliari tried to equalize with Oristanio, Prati, Goldaniga and especially Lapadula, but also risked something on an initiative of Pinamonti.
The Emilians also started well in the second half, with Laurienté and Pinamonti going close to doubling the score. At 63' an early breakthrough with the expulsion of Tressoldi that left Sassuolo with 10 men. But at 90' Bajrami seemed to close it out for the guests, but the Var cancels his goal for offside by Volpato. At 94' then came Lapadula’s equalizer with a great shot on Luvumbo’s service. And it's not over yet, because Cagliari even won the game with a stunning backhanded shot by Pavoletti. While the clock marks even 99 minutes.
