L’Allianz Vero Volley Milan è is ready to return to the court for the 12th round of Serie A1 Tigotà. The day after tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. (live TV Volleyballworld.it), the team coached by Marco Gaspari will challengeà Il Bisonte Firenze, away at Palazzo Wanny.

For Orro and her teammates, returning from six consecutive league victories against Novara, Pinerolo, Chieri, Roma, Casalmaggiore and – last week – Cuneo, it will be an opportunity to consolidate the second position in the standings behind only Conegliano.It will be the 19th confrontation in the history between the two teams, with the balance leaning in favor of the Milanese thanks to 11 victories and only 7 defeats. Among the ranks of Florence have played the central Sonia Candi (2018/2019) and the Dutch setter Nika Daalderop (2018/2019, 2019/2020); Milan, on the other hand, will see again Alessia Mazzarro and coach Carlo Parisi on the other side of the net.

Florence, in’the last round of the championship, suffered a defeat on the field of Vallefoglia with the score of 3-1. From a statistical point of view, the Florentine team bases its attack on its two female spikers: German Lina Alsmeier and Japanese Mayu Ishikawa, respectively in eighth and 11th place (with 173 and 162 points) in the special ranking of “best spikers” led by Paola Egonu, at 236. Also looking at the statistical percentages, two players of Allianz Vero Volley Milano among the “top receivers” of the league: French Helena Cazaute (second with 47.19%) and Dominican libero Brenda Castillo (46.38%), with the latter also fresh winner of the Tigotà Series A1 MVP of the month of November.
