Lega Serie A has released the dates of the Italian Super Cup

The new Italian Super Cup, which for the first time ever will see four teams on the field instead of two in the Final Four format, will be played between Jan. 19 and 22, 2024 at the Al Nassr stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Confirming this, on the sidelines of the Lega Serie A Assembly held Monday in Milan, was Lorenzo Casini, Lega president.

The four participating clubs will be reigning Italian champion Napoli, Inter Milan winners of the 2022/23 Coppa Italia, Lazio second in the last championship and Fiorentina finalists in the domestic cup. "The Italian Super Cup will be played on the dates of Jan. 18 and 19 the semifinals and Jan. 22 the final as decided by the last BoD, while the stadium will be that of’Al Nassr, the same one where the Spanish Super Cup" will be played, Casini confirmed.

"The dates have been decided taking into account the league commitments, the European matches of the participating teams and the availability of the host country’s calendar with respect to other events" he added, anticipating in this sense the inevitable changes in the schedule that will involve the four clubs involved in the 21st day. Dates and times of the rematches will be announced in due course.

According to reports from Mediaset, holder of the event&#39s TV rights, the first semifinal (Jan. 18, 8 p.m.) will be between Napoli and Fiorentina, while Inter and Lazio will play each other on the 19th at the same time.
