Juventus: Giuntoli ready to ask Szczesny for a favor
The 33-year-old goalkeeper has worn the HCL jersey since 2017
Juventus è is happy with Szczesny’s performance. The Polish goalkeeper born in 1990 has regained his best condition and, today, è one of the pillars of Allegri’s team. The will of both parties è to continue working together but there's a need to find an agreement to extend the current contract that expires in 2025.
Giuntoli è was put under contract to improve Juventus’ roster but also to balance the corporate accounts. Lowering the payroll è one of Giuntoli’s own priorities, obviously without weakening the squad. Szczesny has a significant salary of 6.5 million euros per single season. A bit high by the new Bianconeri standards.
The idea would be to offer the Polish goalkeeper a one- or two-season extension, so as to spread the salary over several years. Szczesny has been wearing the bianconeri jersey since as far back as 2017 and is doing very well in Turin, Juventus side. In short, the'deal should come. If not, Juventus could also make different assessments for the goal.
