Omar Camporese doesn’t go easy on Lorenzo Musetti

Tennis Italy è returned to the top of the world after a 47-year fast. Great protagonist of the triumph è was Jannik Sinner, who è was able to beat world number one Novak Djokovic twice in the same day allowing the Italian national team to beat Serbia and gain access to the final. At the microphones of the "Corriere dello Sport", however, former Italian tennis player Omar Camporese, almost a month after the triumph, è wanted to dwell on one of the negative protagonists of the Italian expedition to Malaga, namely Lorenzo Musetti, author of a decidedly negative second half of 2023.

"I know he had some problems when he è took the court, but Musetti could not afford to lose like that against Kecmanovic in the Davis Cup. For me Lorenzo è the one who plays best ever, but he was not in the right condition to play such an important match. The talented players who are good to watch are not defensive players, they are attacking players. They are the ones who lead the game, while he seems to be more focused on pleasing himself on the court" began the former Italian tennis player.

"When I saw him play the first few times I rubbed my eyes. Then in a tournament in Cagliari I couldn&#39t see him because he was off the screen close to the scoreboard. When I saw him play in Hamburg, however, he played much closer to the back line. He was humble and that allowed him to get very good results. Now he is mirroring himself a little bit and I see him a little bit different. I am convinced that when he can better manage his personal problems he will find his game and confidence in himself" concluded Omar Camporese.
