Patrick Mouratoglou gets out of line on Rafael Nadal

During an interview with the microphones of "Eurosport", French coach Patrick Mouratoglou, among other topics, wanted to dwell on Rafael Nadal, who will make his return to the court at the Auckland ATP 250 after a year in the pits due to various physical problems. The 1970-year-old wanted to express his feelings about what may be the Spaniard’s chances of competing during 2024.

"Rafa è has been stationary for a long time and so everyone thinks that physically, given also his age and the big injuries he has had in his career, he is not in good shape. I, on the other hand, am convinced that if he can find continuity at the physical level he will be able to give a hard time to anyone and anywhere" began the French coach.

"Ità will be interesting to see him on the court. I think he&eagrave; will struggle against all these young people, becauseé while he was stopped in the pits they had an important growth path. All the fans of the sport, however, are looking forward to seeing him play, especially at Roland Garros, which will be the most important tournament of the season for Rafa" added the 1970-year-old.

"No one knows how Nadal really feels, only he canò know his physical condition. This will be crucial to see his level in 2024. His participation in the Australian Open canò be interpreted in two ways: we can think that this è his last year and he wants to play all the Slams or believe that he already feels; in very good shape to compete for victory" Patrick Mouratoglou&quoted.
