Marc Marquez-Ducati Pramac: Paolo Campinoti reveals a market backstory
During an interview given to "Paddock MotoGp", the patron of Prima Pramac Paolo Campinoti wanted to reveal a backstory on Marc Marquez, who, before finding the final agreement to move to Ducati from Team Gresini, è was also in negotiations at Pramac to take the place of Johann Zarco.
"Marquez continues to be one of the strongest, if not the strongest rider in existence. He has very special characteristics, è very aggressive and very disruptive. I think with his arrival the balance in Ducati will be difficult to manage. A few months ago we were in negotiations with him to sign him, forò Ducati gave the green light, but only with a two-year contract. Then he signed for one year with Team Gresini. It seems to me a choice that could be 100 percent positive for the whole Ducati world. It does not make much sense to have Marc for a year, becauseé at the marketing level you have everything, but one season è a period too short" began the patron of Prima Pramac.
"Leaving the brand where è was born and raised to come to Ducati testifies even more to the supremacy of our bikes. Marquez è confident that he is strong with a bike from the previous version. I don't know how our Desmosedici will be in 2024, whether it will have more potential and whether there will be a difference between one bike and the other. I think it will be a serious candidate for victory. If I had to make an economic sfozozo, I would do it for Jorge Martin, who in my opinion is worth more than Marc, è younger and I like him even more" added the owner of the Pramac team.
"The real Marc Marquez of MotoGP è Dall’Igna, to the point that Marc accepted an outdated bike in order to race a Ducati. His brother Alex’s performance makes it clear that next year Marc, who has at least half a second more in Alex’s wrist, will be absolutely fighting for the title, and the one-year contract will be an even more disruptive element from my point of view in what could be a difficult dynamic to manage if Marquez wins the title. However, Dall’Igna è so good that he will know how to handle even this situation" concluded Paolo Campinoti.
