Olimpia Milano, market rumors around Melli and Poythress
Napier's arrival may not be the last shakeup in the red and white house
It's just arrived Napier (immediately decisive on the court) but Olimpia Milano's roster could change again in the coming days. There are several market rumors concerning players under contract with the AX. In particular, there is much talk about Melli, a pillar of Coach Messina’s team, and Poythress, who arrived last summer but has not yet been integrated into Olimpia’s mechanisms.
It appears that Partizan Belgrade has put a monster offer on the table for Melli. Nothing is official, but Olimpia has no intention of losing what, on balance, is one of the backbones of the team, as well as the captain. Melli is fine in Milan, there is no chance that he could pack his bags and go play elsewhere.
More delicate is the situation of Poythress. The long player, formerly of Maccabi Tel Aviv, is failing to play with continuity. Only a few flashes of talent and many minutes spent in the game. According to the Republic, should the right offer come, he could pack his bags. Clearly, with Mirotic in the pits, it won't be easy to start a few players for Olimpia Milano, especially long ones.
