Valerio Bianchini took stock of the situation on Olimpia Milano in an editorial in Gazzetta dello Sport. "I have changed several players in my coaching career, as’è happened now in Milan with the return of Shabazz Napier, but I have been successful only when two conditions".

"The first is to’have a good team group and a game that works so that the change enhances a technical situation. The second è that the market offers the opportunity’to access a player of value and suited to the’need to improve. These conditions do not always occur".

"Often poorly constructed teams run into serious difficulties; and if the company’s nerves are not strong, first it changes players for a change and if improvements are still not seen it jumps the coach’s head. But this è a show of weakness and an’implicit admission that the club’s choices have been wrong, which undermines the athletes’s confidence in the club’s management.
