Carlos Alcaraz in crosshairs: "It's gotten worse". Former No. 1’s broadsides to Sinner’s rival

Carlos Alcaraz's last title dates back to his Wimbledon triumph against Novak Djokovic: since then, the Spanish tennis player hasn&#39t been able to impose himself in a tournament, and he was eliminated in the semifinals at the 2023 Us Open and in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Australian Open won by rival Sinner. At 20 years old and after two Slams won, the Murcia tennis player is going through a less than excellent period, and has begun to attract some distinguished criticism.

These include heavy ones from former world number one Andy Roddick, who at the microphones of his podcast Served with Andy Roddick did not spare stinging words: "Batting è his main problem today".

"His serve at the moment leaves something to be desired, è the only thing that has not è improved in the last two years, in fact è gotten worse. Then it was a rage, in Miami it served around 135 miles, while now it è under 127. I don’t think she does a proper movement, she does very little movement".

"Alcaraz has a line that the rebounders can handle, they don’t go soì in difficultyà. He has to vary, look for other effects, he has to be better with the first ball. Opponents read his serve well, and they can frame it. It's theì that he has to improve".
