Carlos Sainz confirms farewell to Ferrari at the end of 2024
Soì Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz announces on social media the end of his relationship with the Scuderia di Maranello at the end of the season that is about to begin.
"Following today’s news, Ferrari and I will not continue together at the end of 2024. But we still have a long season ahead and will giveò everything for the team and fans. I will announce news about my future when ità time".
Carlos Sainz, son d’art (dad’Carlos Sr. è was a two-time world rally champion and just won the Dakar Rally for the fourth time), debuted in Formula 1 with Toro Rosso in 2015, and stayed there until the last four Grands Prix of 2017, in which he raced for Renault, remaining at the French manufacturer until the end of 2018.
In 2019 and 2020 he drove for McLaren, and in 2021 è moved to Ferrari, with which he won the only two Grands Prix out of the 183 he has competed in his career, in Britain in 2022 and Singapore in 2023. &Eegrave; climbed another 16 times on the podium, including 14 with Ferrari, took five pole positions and set three fastest laps in the race, one with McLaren. His best finish in the world è was fifth place in 2021 and 2022.
