Genoa, renewal ready for a defender and a midfielder

After fending off Fiorentina’s assaults for Albert Gudmundsson until the final hours of the winter soccer session, Genoa è went back to work to try to armor those key elements for Alberto Gilardino. The Rossoblù management, in fact, would have already initiated contacts with Johan Vasquez and Morten Frendrup. 

According to a report by "The Nineteenth Century", for the Mexican defender and the Danish midfielder a salary adjustment would be ready with a corresponding contract extension until June 30, 2028. The two players are two of the elements most used by coach Alberto Gilardino and for this reason the Ligurian club would be willing to start contacts as soon as possible to find the final white smoke.

In view of the summer market, however, Frendrup, in addition to Albert Gudmudsson, is also a candidate to be one of the main men on the market for Genoa, as his performance would have attracted the attention of several Serie A clubs and even foreign ones.

On the next day of the championship, the Rossoblù will face Gian Piero Gasperini's Atalanta.
