Novara eliminates Wiesbaden: final against Nantes

Italian volleyball rejoices for Novara’s qualification to the women’s Challenge Cup final: the girls coached by Lorenzo Bernardi defeated the German team of Wiesbaden 3-1, in an away match, replicating the score of the first leg and thus detaching; the ticket for the final act, where they will face Nantes.

25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21 the partials in favor of the Piedmontese team, whose players were able to make the difference in the top moments, never trembling (except for the second set) when there was to give the decisive tear to go and grab the single set and, in the end, the entire stake.

Best scorer è was Vita Akimova, author of 23 points, but Sara Bonifacio also deserves mention, who was able to put in 10 points, 3 aces and two walls. As for the German team, Izabella Maria Rapacz’s 14 points were not enough to worry the players of the Italian club.

The final will therefore see Novara and Nantes as protagonists: the French team, in particular, defeated the Turks of Nilufer Belediye repeating the 3-0 with which they had already won the first match. Decidedly easy was the challenge for Novara’s next opponents, who were able to win the return match of their semifinal with partials of 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.
