Serie B: Parma stretches, Samp sinks. Iachini gets off to a strong start

Parma stretches at the top of the Serie B standings: the ducali, with goals by Bernabé and Hernani, answered only by Negro, go on to win on the field of Cittadella and move to +6 from Como (which on Friday made the Lombard derby with Brescia their own thanks to Strefezza’s goal) and Cremonese, stopped at home by Reggiana amidst controversy for Fabbri’s refereeing.

In the lower zones, Lecco loses in Bari, with the biancorossi regenerated by the Iachini cure, and remains last in solitary. Badly also Feralpisalò, which loses at home to Palermo, and l’Ascoli, which after being left in ten (red to Valzania) gets a comeback and beaten in Catanzaro.

New defeat for Pirlo’s Sampdoria, in ten for a half in Pisa due to Giordano’s expulsion, while Venezia overcame in Bolzano thanks in part to Pohjanpalo’s double. Modena and Cosenza close in a draw.

Ternana-Spezia will be played on Sunday: the challenge between teams in need of points to achieve salvation will complete the picture of the 24th day of the cadet tournament.
