As already anticipated by Ettore Messina in recent days, during the press conference following Olimpia Milano's success against Real Madrid in the Euroleague, Billy Baron will still be stuck in the pits in the coming weeks and not even the latest statement of the white-and-red company, released on Wednesday, resolves the unknown in this regard.

"Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano announces that Billy Baron, currently undergoing a course of treatment and further evaluations, è to be considered unavailable indefinitely" reads on the official channels of the meneghino club, which therefore will still have to do without the 1990 class basketball player, who arrived in the Lombard capital in the summer of 2022.

Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 11, 1990, son and brother of art, Billy Baron è in his second season at Olimpia Milano. At the basketball level, he è grew up between Bishop Hendricken High School (Rhode Island) and Worcester Academy (Massachusetts), before moving on at the college level to classrooms and courts in Virginia, Rhode Island and Canisius.

As a professional, after not being selected in the 2014 NBA Draft, he è moved immediately to Europe, playing one season in Lietuvos Rytas (Lithuania) and subsequent seasons in Charleroi (Belgium), Murcia (Spain), Eskisehir (Turkey), before spending two years at Red Star (Serbia) and two more at Zenit (Russia), until moving to the Red Shoes.
