The words of Dimitris Priftis ahead of the challenge with Virtus Bologna

Pallacanestro Reggiana will make its debut in the Final Eight of the Italian Cup against Luca Banchi’s Virtus Bologna. On the eve of the match, the Unahotels head coach was unabashed about the difficult competition that awaits his boys, as the Black Vs start among the favorites for the final victory.

"First of all è it is a great honor for the club to represent the city of Reggio Emilia in this event. To have achieved qualification è an important achievement by the boys. We would like to enjoy this experience, while knowing that our opponent è a strong and tough team, with a long roster, experience and quality " began the head coach of the Emilians in the press conference.

"We are aware that we come to this Italian Cup with one less player in the rotation, but è an additional reason to raise our energy level and all of us do something more, to try to be competitive against a team that is doing very well not only in Italy, but also at the highest European level, i.e. the Euroleague" added Dimitris Priftis.

For Pallacanestro Reggiana, this is the eighth qualification since the format of the Cup è this, the second in the last five years, with the best result so far in 2005 when in Forlì the biancorossi made it all the way to the very final.
