Valentino Rossi’s 2024 four-wheeler begins in Australia

Increasingly immersed in the reality of four wheels, Valentino Rossi will inaugurate his 2024 by taking part in the presitgiosa 12 Hours of Bathurst, an endurance race held annually on the stretchy Mount Panorama circuit in New South Wales, Australia, on the weekend of February 16-18. The 'Dottore' will be behind the wheel of the WRT Team BMW, alternating at the wheel, in the No. 46 car, with Belgium's Maxime Martin and Switzerland's Raffaele Marciello.

The race is part of two calendars, that of the GT World Challenge Australia and that of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Valentino also participated in the Bathurst race last year, achieving an excellent sixth place along with Martin and Brazilian Augusto Farfus. Filed the Australian round, Rossi will then focus on the GT World Challenge Europe and the FIA WEC, with the icing on the cake of participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Only a few days ago, during the presentation of Team WRT, Rossi had told official channels: "I am very satisfied with my 2024 program and can’t wait to start. In the Fanatec GT World Challenge I will run the Endurance Cup together with Maxime and Lello, two fantastic drivers and I think we can be very strong".

" I will also run with Maxime two Sprint Cup races, Misano and Brands Hatch, two tracks where we did very well last year. The WEC will be new for me, it will be with Maxime and Ahmad (Al Harthy, ed.), I am looking forward to racing in the main event in Le Mans and places like Austin and Sao Paulo. For me è a’brand new experience, I hope we will be competitive".
