Lionel Messi happy: played against his childhood club
The new MLS season è just around the corner: it starts next February 21
Last friendly for Inter Miami. A few days before the official start of the MLS (kicking off next Feb. 21), Messi's team concluded its tour of friendly tests, playing a match, at DRV Park Stadium (home of Inter Miami), against Newell's Old Boys, i.e., the club where Messi started playing when he was a talented kid.
Messi è stayed on the field for 60', trying to help his team and enjoying the challenge with the club where it all è began. The Argentine did not cut in as he would have liked. For the record, the match è ended on the result of 1-1. Inter Miami scored an advantage with Borgelin. The Argentine club tied the score with Martin Diaz’s goal a handful of minutes from the end.
Now that the international tour has è ended, Tata Martino, coach of Inter Miami, can focus exclusively on the season. Inter Miami's MLS debut will take place on Thursday, Feb. 22 against Real Salt Lake. Lots of anticipation to see the Messi-Suarez duo at work. A lot is expected of Inter Miami, which is called to an absolute star season.
