MotoGp, Marc Marquez issues first ruling on Ducati
Marc Marquez draws the balance of winter testing
With the closure of the MotoGp tests in Qatar, è officially began the countdown towards the first race weekend of the 2024 season: in fact, there will be no other rounds of testing for the riders of the premier class before the weekend that will open the championship always in Lusail, circuit where Pecco Bagnaia, Marc Marquez and all the other protagonists of MotoGp will open the dances.
Marc Marquez himself was one of the special observers, both in Sepang at the end of January and in Qatar until Tuesday. And è it was the Catalan himself who took stock and made the first judgments on his Ducati Desmosedici, the bike he decided to ride (running for the Gresini Racing team) after a whole decade in Honda.
Marc Marquez does not think about the comparison between Desmosedici GP23 and GP24
"I’m having fun, and è a very important aspect – said Marc Marquez to 'Dazn' – We will only see in the race, forò if he will fight for the first positions or not. I think Bagnaia, Bastianini and Martin have something more than everyone else but in Qatar, compared to Sepang, we have reduced the gap".
The number 93 said he does not think much more about the differences between the Desmosedici GP24, available to the riders of the official team and those of Pramac Racing, and the GP23 that instead will be ridden by the centaurs of Gresini Racing and VR46 Team: "I do not know if we can hold our own, but I certainly know that I will giveò the maximum with the bike I have".
The fall on the last day of testing: Marquez explains
The last day of testing è was characterized by a fall, without consequences: "It's the first day when I increased the pace – said Marquez -, I told myself: 'If I fall, I fall'. I actually fell, but it è happened and there are no problems. It was the last day of pre-season testing and it was necessary to take some risks".
Marc Marquez, class of 1993, will race on the Ducati Desmosedici of the Gresini Racing team in theMotoGp 2024 season. He will do it; after ten years in Honda and the rainbow successes, in the premier class, achieved riding the Japanese bike in 2013, 2014 and from 2016 to 2019. Marquez also has a 125 title (2010) and a Moto2 World Championship (2012) to his credit.
