The Davis Cup è officially landed in Naples. To mark the arrival of the prestigious trophy in Campania, a press conference was held in the early afternoon in the ‘Sala dei Baroni’ of the Maschio Angioino in which the President of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, Angelo Binaghi, the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, and Emanuela Ferrante, councillor for Sport and Equal Opportunitiesà took part.

"We are living a moment too beautiful, which we have dreamed of for more than twenty years,‖ said Binaghi. -We have given the best of ourselves, together with all the managers and technicians from Campania. But Sinner is right, there is no reason to rest on our laurels, we must work harder than before so that this moment becomes a long and successful cycle. And Naples will have to continue, in all respects, to be vital and central in the development of tennis in Italy. I met Mayor Manfredi a year ago, it seems like a'geological era".

"The clock of Italian tennis travels at a speed too fast for us, we struggle to keep up with it,‖ added the number one of Italian tennis and padel.

These are overwhelming results, from Sinner, from the Davis boys, from our events.  Tennis and padel are becoming more and more popular, even among the younger generation. The data on the results of our boys, the organizational and numerical data of our movement attest that we are in the best moment of our history, especially when seen in perspective. Never have we had such important and popular tournaments, never these numbers of practitioners and affiliated clubs".
