Darius Van Driel wins in Kenya
Darius Van Driel captured his first career victory on the DP World Tour. The Dutchman with a total of 270 strokes (66 69 68 67, -14) and staying in the lead from the first to the last round won the Magical Kenya Open staged in the capital of the African country, Nairobi.
Van Driel overcame competition from Spain's Nacho Elivra and England's Joe Dean, both second with 272 (-12). Fourth with 273 (-11) were fellow Spaniards Adrian Otaegui and Manuel Elvira and Briton Matthew Jordan. Seventh with 274 (-10) are Scots Connor Syme and Ewen Ferguson.
Not bad Lorenzo Scalise, who came close to the Top 10 finishing 11th with a score of 276 strokes (68 68 72 68, -8) and è was the best of the Azzurri in the competition. Van Driel è put $425,000 in his pocket against a total prize pool of $2,500,000.
