Sassuolo, already thinking about after Emiliano Bigica: the options
The bench experience could already be concluded.
Emiliano Bigica and Sassuolo may already be saying goodbye, at least as far as Serie A and the Neroverde first team are concerned. The coach who took Alessio Dionisi’s place saw his team lose at home to Napoli with the heavy result of 6-1. And now the Emilian club is already considering possible alternatives for a coach who already at the time of the announcement had been welcomed "momentarily".
One of the names that continue to be hot è that of Gennaro Gattuso, whose adventure with Olympique Marseille è itself ended. However, the Calabrian coach must be convinced to accept a new adventure in Serie A. Alternatively, Sassuolo is considering another up-and-coming coach (and on the roster of the 2006 world champion national team) such as Fabio Grosso. Finally, there is talk of a'hypothesis that goes in the opposite direction: that of a veteran of takeovers such as Davide Ballardini.
Several knots would have to be unraveled, starting with the duration of the contracts to be proposed to these technicians. In fact, Sassuolo needs to define a clear strategy: whether to rely on a ferryman until the end of the current, complicated season or whether to aim for a more long-term project. And even this reflection could prove decisive in the hiring of a new coach.
