Charles Leclerc’s second place is not enough
The words of Charles Leclerc
Despite his second place in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc did not è appear satisfied at the microphones of Sky Sports at the end of practice: "I am a little bit disappointed with my performance. We did good qualifying in a complicated weekend. We tried different things on the car but I only found the right conditions in Q1. Too bad about the set of soft tires wasted at that juncture, è it went a bit’ to ruin Q3".
"In Q2 I made a very good attempt, better than in Q3 – added the Ferrari driver -. Unfortunately, I lost a little bit of rhythm with the set of soft tires already used. After that, I had to readjust to the new tire and could not extract the perfect lap".
"We have the confidence that we have taken a step forward from’last year. Tomorrow, forò we will understand how big this improvement will be. We think Red Bull is still ahead by a good margin, but we will see in the race how things go. If he’ll have the opportunity; he’ll attack’" concluded Leclerc ahead of Saturday’s race, starting at 4 p.m.
