Cagliari hat trick in Empoli, 1-1 draw between Frosinone and Lecce

Empoli-Cagliari 0-1 and Frosinone-Lecce 1-1

A win and a draw in the two 3 p.m. Sunday matches of the 27th day of Serie A. Cagliari inflicted Nicola&#39s first defeat on the Empoli bench, eking out the 'Castellani' thanks to a Jankto goal in the second half. Frosinone and Lecce do not go beyond a draw: Cheddira's lead in the first half was answered by a Cerofolini's own goal in the second half.

At the Castellani, the first chance è for the hosts on 17': Cambiaghi restarts on a counterattack and goes for a shot that hits the post with Scuffet beaten. In the final minutes of the first half, Caprile saves Empoli twice: first, he repels a close-range shot by Mina, then he deflects a Gaetano cross for Lapadula&#nbsp;

In the second half, Cacace put the Azzurri ahead at 62' but his goal was disallowed because the Var detected an offside position for Walukiewicz. Seven minutes later Cagliari found the lead with Jankto who put back into the net a rebound by Caprile on a shot by Nandez. Empoli tried to fight back and had a great chance in the finale with Pezzella but Scuffet deflected it into the corner.

At Stirpe immediately a copover at the start: Harroui gets injured and has to leave the field to Reinier. On 26’ the guests come close to taking the lead with Krstovic but Cerofolini overcomes himself. In the final the hosts go ahead thanks to Cheddira who takes advantage of an awkward rebound by Falcone and scores from two steps.

In the second half, the Salentini found the equalizer on a penalty kick in 61': Zortea missed a back pass, Krstovic rushed at the ball and was knocked down by Cerofolini. The Ciociari goalkeeper neutralized Rafia&#39s first attempt, but the referee made the penalty kick be repeated: Krstovic went to the penalty spot and hit the post, but the ball slammed into Cerofolini and into the net. Frosinone tries to react but Gelli’s attempt ends up on the crossbar. In the final Falcone saves everything on a header by Kaio Jorge.

Fundamental victory for Cagliari, which climbs to 23 in the standings, in 18th place, tied on points with Verona, while Empoli remains stuck at 25, in 14th place. Frosinone and Lecce climb to 24 (16th place) and 25 points (13th place) respectively.
