The 35-year-old striker è returned to scoring in Serie A after 650 days

He had last scored in Serie A on May 6, 2022. Almost two years later, Sanchez found his way back to the net in the Italian top league against Genoa (on a penalty kick). Yet another important performance by a player who, every time he takes the field, knows how to make himself useful, so much so that he received compliments from Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi.

Despite the fact that he is no longer a kid (35 springs on his shoulders), Sanchez is proving to be extremely useful, both by entering the game in progress and if he is called upon to take the field as a starter. The return to Inter, after his experience at O.Marseille (18 goals in 44 games), is proving to be more than positive, so much so that the Chilean hopes to continue playing in Milan, the Nerazzurri side.

At the end of the season, Sanchez's contract with Inter will expire. Taremi and Carboni, the young striker currently on loan at Monza, are on the way, but giving up a Sanchez in this condition does not seem easy. If it were up to him, he would have already renewed. Now it will be up to the club to make the final decision and it will not be simple at all. Sanchez is earning his renewal on the field.
