Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic reveal what made the difference

Five years after the last time, Novak Djokovic will return to take part in the Indian Wells Masters 1000. At Media Day and on the eve of his tournament debut, the Serbian tennis player, among other topics, bluntly analyzed his start to the season. In addition, the world number one also dwelt on Jannik Sinner&#39s performance and the factors that have allowed the South Tyrolean to play tennis superior to his own.

"Australia è the place where I won the most Slams. For most of my career, I started the season by winning a Major, and that gives you great confidence for the rest of the year. When you start the year that way, you have more confidence and you feel relieved. This season, however, I started to ask myself questions. I do not feel that I have had the right time to rest and prepare properly as happened before" began the Serbian tennis player.

"I don’t think I played my best tennis at the Australian Open, while Jannik did. That is why he è was simply better than me in the semifinals and then made an incredible comeback in the final winning his first Slam. He achieved an absolutely deserved success" added the world number one about the South Tyrolean.

"&It&#39s great to come back here, there's a reason why they call it Tennis Paradise. È it's a magnificent experience for both players and fans. Everyone who loves the sport appreciates the tournament. I am very excited to return, it has been five years since the last time and time goes by really fast" concluded Novak Djokovic.
