Jannik Sinner at Indian Wells: Roger Federer’s prediction
According to Roger Federer, Jannik Sinner è one of the three candidates for the title in Indian Wells, where è the first Masters 1000 of the season is underway. The Swiss star spoke about this at NBC microphones during the unveiling of the venue that will host the 8th Laver Cup, scheduled to take place in San Francisco from September 19 to 21, 2025.
"I think Djokovic is the big favorite in Indian Wells,” admitted the Swiss. “Sinner hasn’t lost since the Australian Open; while Alcaraz è returned to play and is the defending champion. So I think the winner will be one of these three guys. Unfortunately Rafael Nadal has è withdrawn".
Sinner and Alcaraz have already reached the third round, defeating Thanasi Kokkinakis and Matteo Arnaldi, respectively, while Djokovic has yet to make his BNP Paribas Open debut. The Serbian champion, who returns to Indian Wells after five years, will make his debut against Australian Aleksandar Vukic, number 69 in the ATP rankings.
