Matteo Berrettini regains success in Phoenix, beats Hugo Gaston in comeback

After a 194-day ordeal, the Roman tennis player made his return to the court in the Phoenix Challenger, also finding success in his opener against Frenchman Hugo Gaston. The 27-year-old tennis player, in fact, è won in a comeback over his transalpine rival with a score of 3-6 6-3 6-1, in an hour and forty-two minutes of play. "I am overjoyed, it seems like ten years since the last match. Before the match I was thinking: even if I lose in the first round, I will be happy simply for being able to play tennis again. In the next round Matteo Berrettini will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Cazaux and Australian qualifier Adam Walton.
