Bar of Champions: Paolo Bettini, Alessandro Ballan and Maurizio Fondriest launch their new live format

To the bar with three cycling champions

Meeting at the sports bar with three rainbow winners. È this is the idea that led three friends to launch a regular date for all fans, where they talk about cycling – and what cycling! They are Maurizio Fondriest, Alessandro Ballan and Paolo Bettini, a trio that promises sparks in a calendar of live episodes, immediately after the holding of the most important international competitions.

The’idea è that of a chat among friends: followers will be involved in family atmosphere, that’goliardic atmosphere that binds the three world champions. Anecdotes and analysis will be told to the viewers who will be able to intervene and comment. 

"The’idea è born by chance" explained Alessandro Ballan, "we imagined a format that could involve all three and bring our followers closer together in a moreù genuine and convivial way, getting out of’institutionalityà. Cycling è a sport that unites indistinctly and also makes us feel free, when we pedal and when we talk about it. So whyò whyè not open a virtual bar where we can comment on the race just as if we were over a nice beer? I can’t wait to start".

"With Maurizio and Alessandro I share many projects, but the reality is that we are also great friends" commented Paolo Bettini. "We like to joke and tease each other, make fun of each other a bit’. From the outside I look like the most playful of the group but they are serious fakes, so what I can say is that there will be a lot of fun.

The first event è scheduled for Monday, March 18 at 9 p.m. The theme? The’latest edition of the Classicissima scheduled for Saturday 16. 

"It is not always possible through social media to convey one’s personality," told Maurizio Fondriest, "with these live broadcasts I think it will be easier to express ourselves at our best, involve fans and create new points of debate, without taking ourselves too seriously of course. I am happy to start with the Milano Sanremo, for me è one of the most beautiful memories since that success also coincides with the birth of my daughter Maria Vittoria".

After the first show, the live broadcasts will go live every Monday after a major competition on the Instagram channel “At the Champions Bar” in the time slot from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..
