Marcell Jacobs back on track after eight months
Marcell Jacobs, the return
Marcell Jacobs is preparing to shine at the Ostrava Meeting, a prestigious stop on the World Continental Tour, second only to the Diamond League in terms of importance on the international circuit. The event will be held May 28 in the picturesque Czech Republic location. The 100-meter Olympic champion has chosen this stage to regain his best form ahead of the European Championships in Rome, set for June 7-12.
Back from training in California, Jacobs has not competed since last Sept. 10, when he clocked a time of 10.08 in Zagreb, preceded by 10.05 in Xiamen and silver in the 4×100 relay at the World Championships in Budapest. After a series of injury-plagued seasons, Jacobs decided to change coaches and move to the United States.
His goal è is clear: to dominate the Paris 2024 Olympics after his Tokyo triumph, via the European Championships in the Italian capital. Before the appointment in Ostrava, there will be other competitions on his schedule, although they have not been confirmed at the moment. È virtually certain, however, that we will see him in action at the World Relays, the world relay championships, the weekend of May 4-5 in Nassau, Bahamas.
His participation in the prestigious Czech event è was confirmed directly by the organizers, to whom he said: ""It will be my first time in Ostrava, I could not miss the opportunity&39;to race in front of such a big crowd and on such a fast track".
