Jannik Sinner: alert for two physical problems
Jannik Sinner è emerged sore from his match against Carlos Alcaraz in Indian Wells, lost in three sets. The Italian tennis player, after winning the first set clearly, è was remounted by the Spaniard, who found the right countermoves to put him in trouble. Slowing down the San Candido athlete, however, were also some physical problems that he will have to deal with in the coming days, ahead of the Miami tournament.
First and foremost, the elbow problem: Sinner felt pain in his arm after falling badly in the third set. The world number three blamed the elbow problem heavily and highlighted it with his grimaces on court: "I felt something in my elbow because I fell on it. After that I had difficulty serving", he explained after the match in a press conference.
Also keeping Sinner and his staff on alert is a left leg strain, which will be monitored over the next few days: "It's hard to digest, but I hope to be in the right physical condition for Miami, which è the most important thing for me. We will see how I am in the next few days".
No excuses however for Jannik: "I feel in any case happy with what I am doing. Certainly not è the finish I wanted, but he è was good at raising the bar and I wasn't up to it".
