Daniele Parente is no longer the coach of Trapani. The Sicilian club, which plays in the A2 Series of basketball, made the news official in the aftermath of the loss in the A2 Series Italian Cup semifinal against Fortitudo Bologna (89-57 was the final score of the game that promoted the Felsinei). Parente arrived in Trapani in 2014 as a youth coach, in 2018 he had taken over as head coach.
"The Trapani Shark announces that it has relieved coach Daniele Parente from the position of Head Coach of the First Team,” reads the note published by the club through its official channels. The club thanks the coach for his commitment and seriousness shown in all these years in Trapani and wishes him the best of luck for the future.
Saturdayè was the third defeat in a season that was nevertheless top-notch for Trapani, which leads the A2 Green Group in the league with 48 points in 26 days, 10 more than Cantù and Turin, which share the momentary place of honor (and also have one more game played).
The name of Daniele Parente’s successor, the company still explains, will be announced in the coming hours.
