Jannik Sinner loses but gets closer to Carlos Alcaraz

After the conclusion of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, the ATP ranking è was updated this morning. Although both confirmed last year’s result, thanks to the new points allocation system, Jannik Sinner gains 40 points over Carlos Alcaraz.
The number of Italians in the top 100 rises to seven: Luca Nardi, with his victory over Novak Djokovic as a lucky loser in Indian Wells, climbs as many as 27 positions in one fell swoop to 96° place at 623. In addition to what has already been said about Jannik Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, who climbs up two positions to 24th place, as well as both Matteo Arnaldi, who is in 38° place, and Lorenzo Sonego, who climbs to 53rd place.
Flavio Cobolli loses one place and è now 63°. Once again the Italian invasion among the top 200 in the world is renewed, with the presence overall of ten more Italians between 103° and 195° place included: so there are 17 tennis players from the Bel Paese among the top 200 of the ATP ranking. Among them rises Matteo Berrettini, who gains 12 places with the Phoenix final and è now 142°.
