At Miami Matteo Berrettini has an illness, recovers, struggles but loses to Andy Murray

Matteo Berrettini, in his first tournament on the ATP major circuit since returning and after losing the final in the Phoenix challenger, has an ailment toward the end of the second set, recovers to play, fights back but exits in the first round of the Miami Masters 1000, beaten in a comeback after two hours and 48 minutes by British former world No. 1 Andy Murray with a score of 4-6 6-3 6-4.

A break decides the first set and è Berrettini to do just that in the opening game of the match, the Roman saves two break points on 3-2 and soon after has one for the 5-2, he does not exploit it but still manages to take home the partial at the second set point.

In the second set Matthew loses serve in a long sixth game and suffers it on the third chance after missing two balls to hold serve. On 5-2 for Murray as he is serving Berrettini has a stroke, his legs give out and he goes to sit down. After the doctor measured his blood pressure he resumes play but the Scot cashes in the second set and extends the match.

Unfortunately, in a very long first game Berrettini loses his serve immediately, first saving three consecutive break points, then after having him five break points for the game he surrenders on the fourth chance for Murray. Matteo saves two more break points on 3-1 then he goes him on 0-40 service Murray but fails to recover the break disadvantage and the match has practically no moreù history.
