Nice comeback success for Flavio Cobolli in the first round of the Miami Masters 1000. On Florida’s concrete, the 21-year-old native of Florence, world number 63, beat Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, number 71, with a score of 1-6 6-1 6-4 in just under two hours of play.

The first set è a domination of the Japanese who flew to 3-0 and then made another break in the sixth game. The second set è identical as the score but mirrored, then in favor of Cobolli, who però must save a total of four break points,

Only two break points saved by Nishioka in the third set, immediately in the first game, then on 4-4 the Japanese has to break serve and soon after Cobolli closes the match by holding the serve to zero. Now Flavio will face Britain’s Cameron Norrie, the number 30 seed on the scoreboard.
